Anyone feel confident buying a white one given the problems they've had getting one made?
Granted all of the issues everyone has had with the iPhone 4 over the past year (death grip/Antennagate, etc), I doubt that colour is going to be the least of their concerns.
At this point, waiting another 3 - 5 months for an iPhone 5 would be more prudent than being locked into something so soon before a new device comes out.

Guys, which one should I get?
I've been trying to score an iPad2 and now here comes the new ix.Mac.MarketingName, which sounds awesome! So between this and iPad2, ATV2, Air, MBP, iPhone, Mac Pro, Nano and iMac, what should I get?
Mostly I would use this for web surfing and light photo editing, but it also needs to dry laundry and serve as daily transportation for my 8 mile commute. But, I'm worried the new ix.Mac.MarketingName requires Z-rated tires, which are quite expensive. I'm also curious whether, with the right apps, the ix.Mac.MarketingName can serve as a prophylactic or if it's better to have a dedicated device for that.

I'm talking about portable music players that store music with a hard drive or flash memory that are NOT the Apple iPod models. In that case, it's only the higher-end players that support the AAC format, unless you buy Sony's current Walkman line of portable music players.
And I'll add/paraphrase from those who defend Apple to the end.
The average consumer doesn't want to think about formats and codecs - they just want to download a song and listen to it on whatever device they want to.

android is not a handset manufacturer. it just is a viral mobile platform supplier. it works for them for market share but low on maximum profitability. apple must be appreciated for what they are. Leaders. they did what everyone else was scared to do with smartphones (no stylus) and took the jump into a dead segment (tablets) and they went about it well and reaped the rewards. now johnny come lateley (goog) has come in with the "ours is almost as good but for FREE" and have roped in many marginally satisfied adopters. android's every success is a tribute to its forerunner and DADDY, apple, who still does it best and wont relinquish that fact ever because they Lead the entire industry in all things and they lead well. stop being so butthurt about it and raise your glass to the best. CD's? That's still just about all I purchase, beside my vinyl collection:D I want a physical copy for everything, and I like to have the artwork, AND get it signed by the artist when I see them live. I also get the ticket and place it behind the CD holder in the case. With my Genelec 1030A's I can tell if it's an MP3 or not:p Now where did the sweet spot between my speakers go again:rolleyes:

Dont count Parallels out. They will eventually have multicore support in their app, and i am sure will keep getting better over time.

Add a third option, 24" with a 16:10 ratio and a matte option. Easier on the eyes and more vertical space. The 27" was murder on my eyes and I had to sell mine.

I know I'm going to get labeled as a mac zealot and linux apologist for asking this, but isn't it weird how the project spent ALMOST ALL OF ITS TIME looking for ways to crucify OS X/Linux, but they avoided MS like the plague, as if they were afraid to make them look bad?

That's typical Apple. Intel chipset does not support USB 3.0? No USB 3.0 for Apple fans! NVIDIA GPUs do not work with SandyBridge? Stick with outdated C2D CPUs for years. What's more important - CPU/chip or case? In case of Apple, the case always wins. Apple is all about image. Once designed, the case should stay unchanged for many years. Apple will wait until somebody designs a "suitable" chip. Is not it kind of backward? Then we hear excuses from Apple fans why Apple could not use separate USB 3.0 controller. This would require redesign of the motherboard - Wow! Think of it - redesigning a motherboard! Some companies redesign tens of motherboards every year but Apple? No way. Now iPhone users will be stuck with outdated technology for a year or two and they will be feeding us all kinds of excuses why LTE can not be used in iPhone. Just ridiculous.

I've seen the blue screen on XP. It's funny because I've been told by Windows users that it doesn't exist in XP, yet I witnessed it two weeks ago when a colleague of mine was trying to do something with Adobe Acrobat. The program just spazzed and the blue screen came up.

oh, I forgot to mention one good thing about this mouse. Presumably it will work correctly with the option "allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer." 3rd party mice wake the computer up over and over ever since 10.4.6 when that option is checked. Of course, it would be nicer if apple would just fix their stupid OS version so that all BT mice worked correctly and not just their own... :rolleyes:
