Lookalikes: A toned down and ladylike Miley Cyrus accepts the Global Action Youth Leadership Award from fellow Disney star Hilary Duff last night in LA
It appears their Disney roots are not the only thing Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff have in common.
With their matching wavy hair, and Duff's newly darker do, the actresses both looked strikingly similar at a Hollywood awards bash last night.
Duff, who rose to fame playing the title role in Lizzie McGuire, presented her fellow Disney alum with the Youth Leadership Award for Cyrus’ work with the charity Blessings In A Backpack.
Cyrus, 18, toned down her usual risqué look for something a little less revealing than her go-to corset and hot pants ensembles at the first annual Global Action Awards in Beverly Hills.
Channelling her inner Duff, whom she has always revered, the Hanna Montana star opted for a simple black dress hitting just above the knee with open-toed black boots.
But the 23-year-old newlywed kept the fashion bar high hitting the red carpet in a black and white silk floor-length dress that she kept youthful with feather earrings.

This more ladylike look is a departure for Cyrus who has been on major image repair since a video of her smoking the legal high Salvia took the internet by storm.
The controversial pop princess admits her decision to experiment with the drug was a mistake saying: ‘For me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for.’

Teen queen: Duff portrayed played the title role in Lizzie McGuire between 2001 and 2004 on the Disney ChannelWhile Cyrus’s life has become increasingly controversial, Duff has ridden off into the sunset with her husband of seven months, Mike Comrie.
Modelling her revised grown up image on the icon of her youth, Duff, seems to be just the ticket for the maturing Cyrus.
The successful star has always looked up to Duff and in a 2008 interview with Allure Duff commented on how endearing it was recalling: ‘When she meets me, she’s excited.
It’s cute- I see a lot of myself in her.’
