Haven't we seen that dress before? Taylor Momsen (above) wears the same gown as Blake Lively on the Gossip Girl set yesterday in New York


She's one of the most beautiful, poised and classy young ladies of Hollywood.
We are of course talking about Blake Lively; the same can't quite be said of Taylor Momsen.

When Taylor wore the exact same blue dress and masquerade mask as her co-star Blake on the Gossip Girl set, she didn't carry it off anywhere near as well as the statuesque blonde.

While the frothy powdery blue gown enhanced Blake's tall, slim figure, Taylor merely made it look dumpy.

And when 23-year-old Blake wore the mask last Friday, she looked mysterious and sensual, while Taylor looked more like Hannibal Lecter.

But perhaps that's because she's not comfortable covering up so much.

The 17-year-old seems much more comfortable in raunchy lingerie-inspired outfits rather than ball gowns.

And true to form, she was back in her usual uniform of thigh-high boots and a tiny skirt yesterday.

Her very adult style has helped Momsen, who plays Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl, recently front the campaign for Madonna's Material Girl clothing line, which the Vogue singer designed with daughter Lourdes.

She has also done a campaign for British clothes store New Look and is the face of John Galliano's new fragrance.

Earlier this year the former child star revealed how she fired her stylist because she was unhappy with the squeaky-clean look they had been developing.

'I think firing my stylist has allowed me to be more free,' she said.
'I was getting moulded into this thing that wasn't who I am.'
