Other than portables, i've never really seen the point in slim consoles. All my consoles are fatties and i've never thought of selling them to buy a slim.
The 360 slim looks like a little kids toy next to the fat 360. Its just soooo cheesy and tacky. The original 360 case was much better, imo.

My Verizon iPhone had the incorrect time, when I turn off the "set time automatically" it does correct itself. Kind of frustrated, I do use the iPhone for my alarm clock, and have for the last 4 or so years, it would be nice to be able to trust it to ring when it is expected to.

This is not surprising. All the Chinese resellers who were buying iPads in NYC are unlikely to buy the Verizon CDMA, because it cannot be used abroad. The GSM version (i.e. the ATT version) is one that can be used in most places abroad, as long as the iPad is unlocked.
Wrong, China has CDMA. Same CDMA we have. (they also have another proprietary form of CDMA as well)
However, the scalpers I've seen don't seem to be sending them to China.

Nonsense. Apple is selling a lot of computers right now because Jobs Osbourned the entire PowerPC range just over a year ago by announcing the switch to Intel. For each model of Mac, sales were artificially low before the Intel version was launched, and artificially higher after.
Additionally, people are happer buying Macs if they know they can switch back to Windows if it doesn't work out. One of the major barriers to owning a Mac has been removed by the Intel switch (whatever my misgivings on the subject.)
It's simply ridiculous to argue that the ads have helped sales. Sales would be much higher now than they would have been six months ago even if Apple had stopped advertising completely. The question is whether they would be even higher if they weren't insulting their target audience. The answer, of course, is yes.

What are your recommendations for exorting?
I will be editing in Final Cut. I just want high quality video as the main importance but keeping the file sizes to a minimum.

Umm do not use retail cost of the OS. You need to use the OEM cost. That is 100 bucks.

Another guy made a post somewhere else about how maybe one in fifteen PC users is anti Mac, but more like one in two Mac users is anti PC. What can a Mac user do that I can't? I do audio and video editing on my PC, I can't think of anything a Mac can do my computer can't (and I'll wager I'll do anything cheaper, and being poor that's a serious consideration to me), and what is the big draw to the Mac. I realize this isn't the best forum for a two sided debate, but I am thowing it out there anyway.

I say whatever it takes to keep up. Doesn't bother me that there are two CPU's under the hood. Anyways I am sure that OS X is way more optimized for dual Processors than Windows 2000 or XP. Having OS X far outways the slight difference in hardware performance. OS X is specifically designed for Macs, and optimized to take full advantage of the hardware. No one that has a Dell, Compaq, Gateway...etc... can say the same thing about Windows. The only way that would happen is if Microsoft came out with a special Intel version of Windows or AMD version. Never gonna happen. I know most of you already know this but I just thought I'd throw it out there again.

Anybody seen any of the DFW apple stores receive and begin selling iPads during the day or have they been holding them for sale at the beginning of the next day? Trying to see if it's worth going to Northpark or Knox bright and early on Saturday morning or if it's best to just keep calling around throughout the day...

It has the underpinnings of a great program. The UI is a little unfriendly and could be more intuitive. Hopefully it progresses faster than .Mac has in improving.

I Apple's QC is excellent by the way.
I disagree, I think with the iPhone QC has been relatively good but not at all on the iPad. The IPad 2's QC has been dreadful.
