Blue Monday: Katie Price was wearing a bright blue fluffy gilet that made her look like cuddly Sulley from Monsters Inc today

She's never had a subtle sense of fashion - but some observers felt that Katie Price was quite literally looking monstrous today.

The 32-year-old star was wearing a light blue fun fur gilet that made her look like star character Sulley in the 2001 animated Hollywood smash hit Monsters, Inc - minus the horns and purple spots.

Instead, the glamour model and business woman accessorised the look with matching light blue Dolce and Gabbana glasses, as well as her current bleached blonde hair and heavy tan.

Sky blue thinking: Simon Cowell is said to be considering a place for Katie on the X Factor

The star was arriving back at her Surrey mansion after a weekend away with a friend in the New Forest - presumably to take her mind off some beastly headlines following the break down of her marriage to 35-year-old former cagefighter Alex Reid.

Still, she was arriving home to good news - which perhaps explained the smile on her face as she was driven through her gates.

It's emerged that Simon Cowell is apparently mulling over the idea of putting the recently-single mother of three Katie on the X Factor judging panel.

Asked about possible replacements to step into his chair so he can focus on the launch of the show's US counterpart, he said having the glamour model and business woman on the show wasn't such a far-fetched idea.

He told The Daily Star: 'Do I want Jordan as a judge on The X Factor panel? Yeah, that could work.

'Why not? I like her as a person. In fact I'd even go as far as to say she's my woman of the decade.'

If things go his way, mother-of-three Katie would join Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and possibly Cheryl Cole on the panel.

Simon's ex-girlfriend and guest mentor on the show also backed Katie for the role.
She said: 'Having Jordan on the panel would make interesting viewing, so I can definitely see it working.

'She can do anything she puts her mind to. She's got the personality that would fit the role perfectly. Simon really likes her as well. There's no denying they get along.'

However, Katie might want to tone down her clothing choices for prime time TV so as not to scare off the more faint-hearted fashion fans...
