I don't think the 920 is fast enough for bigadv's. That or something else running on the computer is sapping away cpu cycles (bigadv's are especially prone to this). It may be able to run enough threads for bigadv's, but the clockspeed is obviously too low with that frame time. I would just run -advmethods and you should get better results.
So you have something to compare to, my i7-2600k (4.5ghz) box does the 6901 in about 26 minutes per 1%.
You can dump this WU by just deleting the work folder. That should do the trick.

My mom has officially banned me from ginza at night and says I have to go the shibuya store. What time should I start to line up?

They probably would have just picked up and left after that five year reprieve. That has happened multiple times where I live - the factories come for tenish years, their tax exemption ends, and they leave. Then the massive local unemployment starts again

Its great that Apple are still updating Java... however, no news regarding Java 7... Hoping that Java 7 doesn't appear too long after official releases on other platforms.
Oracle announced Java 7 for Summer Java 8 12 to 18 months later. They are generally moving the JVM to better support languages other than Java, including support for functions as first-class objects among other improvements.

Are "some people" your parents? It's relatively easy to fake a broken computer without actually harming it if you think about it -- but your request sounds sketchy to me.
The new i5 13 inch MBP performs better at some games and worse at others when comparing them to the previous generation. It's a compromise Apple had to make with this generation in order to get the Sandy Bridge processors. If gaming is important to you and money is tight I'd go for a PC with discrete graphics.

Easy enough to look in the G5 and count the sockets. It depends on the age of your machine.
PC RAM is not necessarily compatible -- Look for RAM from a reputable vendor who tests and guarantees comptibility with your model Mac, offers a lifetime warranty and a no-cost return if it doesn't work.
Thanks

did u make any "add-ons" i.e OpenSSh, SBSettings ?
Nope.
For some reason, I always get error 3601 whenever I try to restore on iTunes. I can't get it to work!
Looks like a firewall issues, I'd turn off any firewalls you have.
after hours of frustration, i finally got it to restore with a custom .ispw. Noe im trying to figure out the tetheredboot part. Firstly, i don't seem to find the files located in the /dfu...at least not the ones i n
eed, i've got 48 instead of 90. When i turn the ipad on i see cydia, but it crashes upon opening, this is a result of still being not tethered, right? Basically what i'm asking i guess is for some help with the last part of this process.
sn0wbreeze does this for you.. it loads a folder "iBooty" onto your desktop with the tetheredboot app and the necessary files, so all you have to do is open it up and run/follow directions. If cydia doesnt open then that means that the jb isnt active via the tether.

Have any of you tried upgrading (for whatever reason, maybe coming from a 3GS) and been questioned about the unlimited plan? It's still some 14 months away for me but I was just curious what might transpire when I try upgrading and they see I got unlimited data even though I joined AT&T; AFTER June.
I just got the unlimited data on 4/29 and was wondering the same thing.
Really though the bottom line is that the Att salesmen just don't care. All they care about is getting paid.
When I used the 2g and did the trick I ended up activating my phone through iTunes and it gave me a new 2-year contract even though I was contract free before the trick! I was thinking "oh ***** I am going to go into the store to get the contract removed and the guy is going to see that I just did the loophole and switch me back to a tiered plan" :(
Well, not only did the salesman not care at all... he even had to get his manager to take off the 2 year contract and the manager didn't even say anything!
I wouldn't be worried as long as you upgrade through a Att sales rep. They are not paid to care and police your account. If anything that would cost them money if they lost a sale by being a prick and taking away your unlimited data when you upgrade so they def won't do that ;)

Well, it can survive a hard fall of about 4 feet, I know that for sure. I own a G3 iBook without wireless (I'm broke) so I always have a 100 foot ethernet cord trailing behind me. Somehow, as I was walking from one room to another, I got tangled up in it, did a funny little twirly-dance, practically threw the iBook out of my way (if I would have landed on it there would surely be no chance of survival) and fell to the ground face first (ouch). The iBook landed hard on its left side. It was powered on, as a matter of fact I was browsing this forum. The sound it made on contact was horrible to say the least. But I'll be damned...so far not a thing wrong with it! When I say it took a hard hit I mean it REALLY took a hard hit. When I picked it up off the floor I wasn't breathing...it felt like my heart had stopped. The screen was black, all was quiet...for about 3 seconds. All of a sudden the screen lit up and it was right where I left it. I just had to reconnect to the internet and I was rolling again. Just wanted to share that with everyone, for I am blown away that the thing isn't dead. If a moose like me can't kill this iBook it is one hardy machine;)
Maybe it's time to get that wireless card (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=167333)!

Good ploy on their part to get a cheap emac.
Good luck with HP. Not a bad company's computer to have if you have to have a non-apple, but it still runs windows.

Hey uknick, firstly welcome to MacRumors ;)
Yeah, I'm going to wait and order mine. I'm not rushing in to it. I'll order mine online also, unless I have good reason to pop in to town and buy the iPad2 from the local Bristol store. I'm still wondering if I really need it or not. Still deciding, but temptation is strong!
Come on Will - you know you want one!! Just give into the inevitable....
I bought the first gen a year ago and never regretted it ( sold it on eBay before the new one was announced :-)) it is by far the best gadget I have ever owned and believe me I have tried many! I even had a brief flirtation with a Galaxy Tab over recent weeks - but it only took me a few days before I gave up and stuck it back on eBay! Once you have tasted Apple other fruits taste just bland ;-)
I can't wait to get the new one particularly for AirPlay with my Apple TV.
I would be going to Bristol if I wasn't working today. Hope that there might be one with my name on somewhere in London.
One last small point - can you veleive that Orange block this site on my iPhone because they say it is "adult content" that really annoys me - it wouldn't happen on my 3 SIM used in my iPad!

The late 2008 models run with Core 2 Duos, right? I don't think Core 2 Duos use DD3. They use DDR2, which would mean that you wouldn't be able to use it in your old MBP. Just look under "About this Mac" and it should say wha
t memory it uses.
Yes. I'm 101% sure that my Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro has a Core 2 Duo processor in it. Later models of the Core 2 Duo processor is capable of DDR3. As long as the OP has a 2008 unibody MBP, it should work alright. I'm not sure if there are compatibility issues with the 1333mhz ram, though.
