Hi, thanks for the responses.about the canon lenses: I use Nikon so my lenses are all black. In terms of throwing the lenses around, well I do go on travel and I do go out in the woods etc. so yes my lenses do see action and they do get small hits here and there. My old sigma 70-200 had some scratches because it fell on the ground. So yes I have seen damage to the lenses in that respect.
In terms of the lens coats, they look like they fit well but I have seen professional photographers using self adhesive tape as a layer of protection. So no glue residue left as you take it off but still that looks even worse than the lens coat :)
I'll have to re-think what I will do....

How many MB can it support?
Does it come with any cartridges?

Ps3 has a crappy browser. I heard they may be updating it to something like firefox, but have nothing right now.
Sorry about the Netflix, that' a pretty big loss. Streaming media, I think, works better with xbox and windows.
Check out some ps3 games. Interested in any?

Well it would be intresting to see what others say but
Grunt in perhaps , Dual CPU, lower speed
against
One CPU higher Speed
Just look into the debates about whether to get the 6-core 3.33Ghz Mac Pro or the 8-core 2.4Ghz Mac Pro.
There's been enough of people saying what they think :p

My new display has a Mini DisplayPort, but my computer has a DVI connection. I didn't read the tech specs closely and now I have a display that can't connect to my computer. I've read about the Atlona dual link converter, but I've heard that will only work if my graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 2600) supports the resolutions that are available with the display. (I made a mistake in the subject line - my mac pro is early-2008.)
What resolutions does the 27" have, such that I may check that against my current graphic card?
I'm also thinking about just buying a new graphics card. What graphics card will both work with my computer and with the 27" display?
(The page for the ATI Radeon HD 5770 (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC742ZM/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY) at the Apple Store says mid-2010, but my Mac is early-2008. Additionally, my System Profiler says I have PCIe, whereas the previously-mentioned card need PCI Express 2.0. Are these incompatible?)
I'm a but stupid about these things, so thanks for any help.
The ATI Radeon HD 5770 doesn't work with the ACD27". I know it has DisplayPort, but there is a bug with various ATi 5xxx cards which makes them incompatible. It is an ATi issue and there is NO fix.
That being said, all ATI 5xxx EYEFINITY 6 cards with DisplayPort work. All AMD Radeon 6xxx cards with DisplayPort work. And all nVidia GeForce cards with DisplayPort work. You can get a nice GeForce card w/ DP for $150. And any modern video card will support 2560x1440. Any DisplayPort video card on newegg will work for you as long as it isn't an ATi Radeon 5xxx card. You could also buy an Atlona DP400 but its $150, the same as a new video card (ripoff).

Concerned about my adoptive dad's memory loss, I started folding in 2002. I know that it won't help him but it might help the suffering of those who are caretakers and sufferers in the future.

I have read all the threads, links, and intimations. Some of the links are a bit dated.
What is the best format to record video on that plays nicely with the MAC?
I need to shoot some video content for my website and get it edited up for use.
Thanks.

For sale: Ipod nano, 2nd gen, 4 gig. capacity, works great, like new: no scratches that I know of, screen is nice, has been kept in case or sleeve (from my 1st gen nano) all its life. It's the Product Red color. Comes with 'iwave' black metal case. Despite what the pictures may show, the screen is bright and clear; the red aluminum is uniform in color and rather immaculate.
Includes retail packaging (no headphones unless you're really interested in sharing used ones...), USB cable, documentation, stickers, dock adapter, a number of UPC-ed bags from when I opened it. Package is missing UPC code from last year's back to school promotion for college students. I'm trying to sell my way into an ipod Touch. Also would entertain (crazed?) offers of trade + $ for touch.
I can take pictures if you'd like.
Caveat: It's got the engraving, w/ my name and email address. Plus I guess you can stay in contact with me at all times? The black case covers it.
Please reply with reasonable offers or advice; thanks in advance.

It's animated to do what? Turn from black to black? ;) :D
Well yes, but it changes from black to black ten times a second, so you are presented with the illusion of a static black image.

Thanks for responding so quickly. No, no chance of a different document. It is a very unique magazine. I have been working on this mag since last Monday - and have opened and closed it countless times. This is really STRANGE.
I'm not using backup software. I just use the 2nd hard drive to "double back up" in case. I do this at least once a day - or if I have done major changes to a job
With the permissions thing - I did a "file info" in another totally different job folder and went to details and changed the "group" access to "read and write" (cause it wasn't letting me save things in that folder even though me being the owner it said "read and write).
I am not on a network or anything - just a stand-alone osx 10.3.3
Have done a check and it doesn't seem to have affected anything else

Its been a very long time until any news in and around unlocks is out now. During 3g, 3gs, the unlocks were very quick. On the IP4, the wait was around the latest release of the 4.3. Now we are 4.3.1. I believe 4.3.1 has changed the baseband again to a new algorithm. I'm not sure if they will hang on for some time with the new algorithm or release the unlock.
I just went for a short business trip and used data roaming which costs about 19.95 an MB. Trip was sudden and I didn't have the time to purchase the rebel or gevey.
In my opinion it is wrong in AT&T;'s part to not genuinely unlock the iPhone when there are legitimate users satisfying the contract. In any case they have an early termination fee any ways.
Instead of us pursing the dev team, we should start an online petition to enable AT&T; unlocking the iPhone legally.
