I'm a Barbie girl: Leona Lewis stepped out again last night at the 2nd Annual Black Women in Music Event in yet another unusual outfit
At the 2nd Annual Black Women in Music Event at the Playhouse in Los Angeles, the 25-year-old wore another unusual creation of similar style to her 'hot lips' outfit the day before.
Leona Lewis' shocking transformation this week has been such that fans of the star have speculated over whether she has succumbed to the pressures of Hollywood, and gone under the knife.
First she was barely recognisable as she showcased her edgy new style at Justin Bieber's film premiere.
And last night Leona turned up to a pre-Grammys party in Los Angeles, again, looking more like Barbie doll than the curly-haired girl from East London.
Designs on fashion: Leona has turned her hand to designing and stepped out in two of her own creations this week
Leona wore a self-designed high-waisted blue skirt and a sheer top with a bright yellow bow over her chest.
The former X Factor winner has turned her hand to designing of late, according to her publicist, and is also creating her outfit for the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
'Utter nonsense': Her spokesman dismissed speculation she has had work done on her nose
the Bleeding Love singer is hoping to start an ethical clothes line in the near future.
But while her edgy creations are certainly head-turning, it is Leona's physical transformation that has most people buzzing.
Since arriving on the scene a sweet-faced 20-year-old with corkscrew curls, the songstress has slowly morphed into a stylish diva.
But her new look, unveiled after months spent holed up in a recording studio working on her third album, is raising eyebrows.
Of late artists with out-there, headline-grabbing style such as Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj have been dominating the industry, while singers with safer style fall behind.
Guest of honour: Grammy nominee Janelle Monáe was lauded at the event
Whatever the reason behind her makeover, Leona certainly stood out from the rest of last night's attendees, even guest of honour Janelle Monáe.
The singer, who has been nominated for Best Contemporary R&B; Album at this weekend's ceremony, was lauded by event hosts Essence magazine.
P Diddy and OutKast's Big Boi - both early supporters and mentors for the artist - also attended.

Stylish: Former America's Next Top Model contestant Toccara Jones (left) and former Destiny's Child singer LeToya Luckett also attended
P Diddy signed 25-year-old Janelle to his label Bad Boy Records after hearing about her from Big Boi, who collaborates with the singer on her hit single Tightrope.
Big Boi and Janelle performed the single at the party, where she thanked him and P Diddy for giving 'a girl from Kansas a shot.'
Leona is also nominated at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
Her song I See You, recorded for the ‘Avatar’ soundtrack, has been nominated in the Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media category at the ceremony on February 13.
She will go up against The Weary Kind from Crazy Heart, This City from Tremé, Kiss Like Your Kiss from True Blood and Down In New Orleans from The Princess And The Frog.
Fans of the singer's new look can look forward to seeing her red carpet appearance, she tweeted this week: 'Designing outfits for Grammy week! Picking fabrics, so fun!'
