I'm glad more regular people are starting to notice this as well. As soon as I saw signs of it in 4.2.1 I knew this was the usual slow down we come to expect, although they started early this time around. :mad:
I noticed it right away mate, and I thought I was being a little pernickety until I noticed more people cropping up in threads here and especially on the Apple discussion forums.
If Apple had added features to iOS 4 over the 4.1-4.3 updates which would explain degraded performance, then fair enough, but Home Sharing and Personal Hotspot are the biggest new feature in the iOS 4 updates, and I don't honestly don't think for one second anyone is stupid enough to believe either impact the way the iPhone UI animates.
Anyway, I've restored to 4.3.2 via iTunes and while the stock apps run perfectly, the real test is when the device has a load on it, so I'm going to install some third party apps and see how things go.
Here's an advance hint ... it'll be the exact same as 4.3.2.

Just updated my iphone 4 to 4.3.2 and it will not connect to my computer or itunes. Giving me this error of 0x8000065.
*******fixed by turning phone AND computer off and restarting computer, plugging in iphone 4 and allowing the connection to turn the phone on. Not sure why, but it worked********

Blame Verizon then. Apple approached Verizon first, and Verizon was unwilling to allow Apple to have full control over the OS, the design of the iPhone .

s sales to the US market, Verizon would have been a great option. Fortunately, or unfortunately, (depending on how you look at it) GSM is essentially the global standard for 2G, so AT&T; or T-mobile would have been the only possible carriers for the iPhone

i do realize that this is a private beta but even in the beta stage parallels was much better.....
Um... this is a private beta for a reason. Also, none of the Parallel's beta builds were built with debug symbols on and they were meant for public release.
Um, as a "private beta" it might be considered a "public alpha". I'm sure they're just making sure that things work before the public beta...

More important than an "empty" button I would like to see a restore function in the Trash, where you can highlight one or more files or folders and click the "restore" button.

Please run the bigadv units, you will get much better PPD. It looks like you are running the regular SMP client for now.
Use -smp 8 if the are 2008 or earlier, -smp 16 if they are 2009 otco...
will -smp 8 be fast enough?

Look, it is not my intention to cast any aspersions on carterx, but it would be totally STUPID for anyone to download and install software that's sitting on a site other than the offical one (vmware.com in this case) just because someone posted it to a forum. Doubly so when the link is posted by someone who's joined the forum in the past few days!
People, you need to use some security sense. Nine times out of ten a link posted by a random user is probably safe; but it's that other time you need to worry about. Especially now that Macs have a higher profile.

I'm excited about the update. I plan on getting a new iMac shortly after OS X Lion comes out.
I'm really hoping for an inexpensive SSD primary drive and 2TB secondary "spinning" drive.
A solid video card would be nice, but I really don't game that much, so that's not a deal killer.
I expect this may be the last of the classic 2005-style (L bracket, screen with "chin") iMacs produced. In 12-18 months I expect Apple will launch a new style of iMac with no "chin" and a drafting table style multi-touch screen.

Apple has great products, but we are going to be experiencing more than a recession. Donald Trump stated that what was going to happen in North America is going to make Russia look like a picnic during world war 2. The CEO of Wall-Street stated two years ago that there will be a world economic crash worse than what happened during the 1930's due to the amount of debt. The European Union Banks stated 1.5 years ago that they were preparing their banks for a world economic collapse. Unfortunately most of us are living the status quo and do not want to acknowledge that our way of life is going to drastically change. Unfortunately even a company as great as Apple will not be able to retain the level of what the stocks are worth even at todays low. My advice is pay of your debts... sell your stocks while you still have money, sell your home and then when the collapse occurs then invest.

Sonnet are marketing a load of interesting accessories, from Gigabit ethernet and FW800 adapters, to RAID arrays, to full-size PCIe expansion card housings, all of which can connect via Thunderbolt.
Those CPUs are pretty fast. For everyone except gamers it should be a nice machine.
Those PCIe housings could make for external graphics that don't suck. Whether that is practical at all is another story.

You hip generation might like holes in your jeans and scratches on your phone, but I just think it's stupid. :p
Maybe they're afraid of yet again having to face the embarassment of having first bashed a design and said it looks like a cheap chinese knock-off and then doing a 180 degree turn when it turns out it's Apples own design, it's a precautionary measure.
(For the record, I never liked the 3G/3GS design, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the leaked iP4 images and loved it when it turned out to be the actual thing, and if this ugly abomination turns out to be an actual Apple product I loose all respect for Apple)
