From the chart, I'd say that this statement applies to people who owned a Kindle and got the iPad as a 2nd device. Or people who got the iPad and got the cheaper 3rd gen Kindle became available, etc.
I don't think Android tablets are common enough at this time for such a significant number of people already owning more than one.

Can anyone confirm/deny that 4.3.3/4.2.8 brings AirPlay to the verizon iPhone?

I'm pretty good programming in PHP and Javascript, but now I need something that allows me to create simple desktop apps. Mostly it will be for automation scripts, too much for Apple Script, but not complex enough to jump into Cocoa and Objective-C. Examples: Manipulating text files (sorting, dupe line checking, adding/cutting parts, splitting/combining files etc.), uploading a file to several different FTP servers, sending POST requests to a server.
I often hear Pearl and Python mentioned and I believe they are pre-installed on the Mac, but I don't know much about them. What's the main difference? Which one (or something else?) would be best suited for these tasks? Which one is easier to learn?
Bonus: What's a good site to learn for someone who has general programming knowledge, but is a total noob with those languages?

I had this when i got an imac a few weeks back... it's your desk. seriously!
Have a look at my previous threads and you'll find the details of the post and how i fixed it.
edit...... => this post... http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1137139&highlight;=
Picked up a new 2011 iMac today and had the same thing, isolate the imac from the desk and it will go.
I had 2x 21,5" on the same desk, at the same spot and none of them made the noise. Just this one, the 3rd 21,5"
Edit: the first 2 imacs were the low 21,5". The 3rd is the high end 21,5". The hdd is different on my 3rd imac(1TB)
I read the thread you linked and i agree that it must be something related with the hdd

4.3.1 didn't bring much but 4.3 brought improvements on AirPlay, safar, added home sharing options, iPad slider switch option, and added the hotspot feature.
http://www.apple.com/ios/
I am in the same boat...still on 4.2.1
The slide switch is what has me itching to upgrade. But it has taken me a long time to get things back like I had it on 3.2 when I finally upped to 4.2.1.
Hotspot may also be necessary if ATT continues to crack down on those os use Mify on 4.2.1. Is there any substance to the rumor that they can't really isolate those using MyFi on 4.3.1?

BART is awesome. Sorry. Don't let my thread scare you... ***** happens all the time everywhere. Just understand when peak hours are, as they kinda suck because you don't get to sit down. Oh, and there are lots of iPods, EVERYWHERE! So I wouldn't be too worried.
Yeah, its relatively cheap. You'll be fine. Enjoy yourself :)

Had to take a lot of quality out of this one to get it under 20K, but I just had to try... ;)
10 points™ to the first to guess where it's from... :) Edit: Not the same without the title theme from Chariots of Fire, of course but should still be recognizable...

Here is my collection
Blu's
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4025/5127152612_4d77b15255.jpg
Is it just the picture, or is that shelf ready to go?
Nice collections BTW. I had about 500 DVDs from the States, but since i live in Greece now, they wont play on my PS3 I bought here, so I converted them all, and have them stored on my external drive.
Anyone have any ideas what I should do with them? I have them in two boxes in the garage.

I am not 100% on how to use parallels
Basically I just need that one stupid site to stream, so I need to find a way to stream and I wont have to worry about windows ever.
Forget Parallels, VMWARE Fusion is much easier to use and less buggy.

I' spent most of the weekend editing 16-bit 6MP images in Photoshop CS on my mini, and while it was a little slow when saving and duplicating layers it was still more than adequate. I've got the 1.42GHz mini with 1GB of RAM.
I agree a PM is more suitable and reckon I'll buy one within 12 months but as a cheaper alternative the Mini makes a great stop-gap.

Thanks. Though it is quite cumbersome compared to the keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots (http://guides.macrumors.com/Taking_Screenshots_in_Mac_OS_X).
I never knew that. Command+Shift+4 will save me so much time, thanks.

I just got the iPhone 4 for Verizon and I usually would let my phone die all the way and then charge it for 12 hours to get it completely charged. Is it the same for the iPhone 4 or does it not matter? If it does matter is it longer than 12 hours? Also, can leaving your phone plugged in when it is fully charged hurt it? Thanks!

It's way different from an Incase Snap.
The Seethru satin definitely gives more protection, I have the satin snap and the seethru satin. I really love the protection that the Seethru offers. It has a lay on the table design, and it's like a low end version of the candy shelll.
It's not all that bulky. :)

I did not dispute for one moment that the Radeon pictures did NOT feature TiBooks. I think there is just too much read into a publicity picture. I would love to be proved wrong, but there is a chance that they plain wanted to use a good looking machine - whether it featured the new Radeon chip or not.
I have seen advertising for Intel based PCs in the former eastern block countries where they pasted OSX screen captures into the monitor. When I asked why they do it, they say it looks much nicer and expensive...
BTW, if you know anything about past macs, clearly the laptop in the XP picture is a G3 PowerBook, because at their time , the Pismo, Lombard, etc. were very sexy. The white logo has been photoshopped out, but the curves and the shape scream MAC!
