I was disappointed that there was nothing for the Mac. Even just release dates/months for Leopard and iWork 07 would have sated me.
The iPhone is cool, but it's too expensive and has far too little memory for me to actually consider buying it.

New harddrive in the MacBook, so a new look. It's exciting to have more than 3Gb of available space. :)

What, did Apple think that Verizon customers would warmly welcome someone who shunned them for 4 years? The customer is most important, shouldn'thave signed that exclusive contract with AT&T...; relly stunted their growth in the CDMA market, people move on too...
But real Apple people don't move on. They wait. They aren't normal consumers.

Missed their chance when Apple didn't approve the improved Google maps app the first time it was available. Now it has improved even more while Maps.app has done nothing, and I'm sure Google has withdrawn the app now that they are doing their own phone OS.
Come on Apple - give us a nice surprise.

The idea of an iChat Phone is interesting. I don't know how kids are in the US but in europe they use teir phones more to send txt messages then to actually talk. But on the other hand I guess this phone would be priced too high for those kids and in europe everybody uses MSN instead of AIM so I'm not sure they would ever try to release such a device because in that case they should port iChat to Windows as well to make it a hit worldwide.

Yes, Kingston you've linked will work OK. Plus it has lifetime manufacturer's warranty (which really works). But I'd recommend the same brand but PC3200 (400 MHz). It's more futureproof - if you'd buy MDD with faster bus (or overclock this one's bus to 167 MHz) or G5 in the future, then you'll be able to use this RAM with it.
Other brand, like Crucial, Corsair will also work: http://www.clevedons.co.uk/product_info.php?c=05&n;=430511031&i;=B000234UQA&x;=Corsair_VS512MB400_512MB_DDR_400MHzPC3200_Memory_non_ECC_Unbuffered_CL25_Lifetime_Warranty

Just do what we do in the UK in our sports games and call the referee a wanker.

Once you have the file on your drive use the G4 optimized Mplayer I created this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1129727&highlight;=) thread to share. Be sure to set the Mplayer preferences the way I show there for best results.
I just tried the G4 optimized MPlayer, it works great. Thanks.

The ends don't justify the means torture is wrong period.
Would you support forcible medical testing on people if that forcible testing might save hundreds of thousands of lives in the future?
I tend to disagree with the saying of "ends don't justify the means".
As for your last example, medical testing is a completely different scenario. In the torture case, you are doing it to someone who is part of the terrorist/criminal activity. They are already part of a criminal act, they already broke the law and they are planning in breaking it again to kill/damage more people.
People with medical conditions haven't done anything wrong.

On a scale from 1-5,
1 being completely pleased and the expo could not have been better
or
5 being absolutely livid and disappointed in either what was presented or the lack of anything new
How did you feel at the end of the Sept 9 macworld? Were you completely happy with what was presented or were you ready to get on stage and give your own "one more thing."
What was it lacking?

What's in it for me? Seriously, the owner of Macrumors makes $100K plus off this site (so much that he quit his job AS A DOCTOR.) Why should I give blood just to glorify the name of his website & make him richer?
What's in it for me?

Look at this eBay listing, read the description, this seller is selling a "picture" of an iPhone 4 for $340 can you believe this? Be aware buyers read the description before buying on eBay

That is a nice step in the right direction. I would like to see more practical
productivity apps on the iOS platform, but even for on the go conceptual work, this is still pretty much useless for my studio. Needs precision and the touch interface is not the answer. Bring a pen/stylus or similar device to the mix and then we'll talk.

350k phones sold a day omg!
But what exactly is your response to the fact that iOS as a platform has more users - therefore is more enticing to developers? And that Android is just a free OS that's modified and put on to phone handsets, mostly HORRID handsets, and many that can't even run an app? You're defending a Linux kernel like it's some breakthrough. Newsflash - it's not.
