I would rather Apple do iPhone5 right then be pressured to release it at the typical release cycle.

No need to rush things out to fullfil some artificial release date because people 'expect' it to be released. Get it it right and release it when its ready. No need to rush out half baked stuff - that will only fire back.

Well, don't believe him. The fact that there already is a 15" MBP should be evidence that Apple will never release a 15" MBP.

I trust only AppleInsider, not ThinkSecret. What they say goes, as far as I remember. Remember last year's October event?

Why would Apple announce their movie store when they don't have a decent video iPod to play them on? What has Apple been working on the past year? Larger capacities? The 5G iPods have not been updated in all this time and yet 80GB drives have been available all along. It just doesn't add up.

Almost all products that are manufactured by Foxconn are produced by hand. When labor is essentially free it's going to be cheaper than using a machine.

How do you know that you are going to get a new one and not a refurbished one. And what old macbooks are you talking about, they didnt release any new ones yet. Thanks for the help.There is ZERO DIFFERENCE between a new Mac and a refurbished Mac - ZERO. You have nothing to fear buying a refurb any more than you have to fear buying a new one. Same warranty. Same quality. Different box. And sometimes when you buy a refurb, you get more than stock like two 1GB sticks of RAM and/or a bigger than stock HD for example.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you. Humans are social creatures, we evolved being social to help us survive against great odds. People with Asperger's/autism do not understand simple social cues and are often at a loss in situations where one should read subtext rather than what is literally said.
It's less an evolution than a branching off. What will happen when the world no longer requires mathematical savants to programme etc? These people will die out.
A study was done which showed that since the advent of online dating reported cases of people on the autistic spectrum increased; it's thought that the people who spent most of their time online were able to find partners and procreate, without having to do the whole rigmarole of courting, flirting, etc.
I'll see if I can find it, but I wouldn't boast about having Asperger's, it's better to boast about being an NT (Myers-Briggs personality type)

Thank you for the clarification, however when I do command-i and choose "Video", the pull-down menu is greyed out. I tried this with several videos, and it's the same: I am unable to change video type on my music videos downloaded from the iTunes Store (American Idiot, etc.). They were all downloaded well before today's updates, so I don't know if that's the problem or not (maybe ones bought afterwards will not cause this problem?)
Are other people experiencing the same problem?
Yeah, the iTunes engineers appear to have had their heads shoved up their collective arses when they were working on the video feature. Since we can't change the video type for purchased music videos I have just created a smart playlist with Video Kind = Music Video and named it so it appears at the top of my playlist list. I hope the new version of Front Row doesn't suffer from the same jackassery.

It has been a year an a half or more since the 60GB iPod was released and over a year since we've been hearing about an 80GB version. I know i am in the minority who wants a larger one. Me for music only but I assume you video people will need more memory eventually anyway. Hey how about a 100GB version! I never jumped to the iPod video since they never expanded it's memory...:rolleyes:

I'm just glad they are not trying to run this on the 3G. I can barely keep the phone running as it is. I wish they would come out with a throwback OS for the older phones. Something to stop the constant freezing.

Ditto. My poor 3G is one step away from being an ipod only... I hate that Apple has essentially bricked that phone. Mine is in great shape, but barely works after the 4.0 update. Retro would be ideal.

Yeah cuz I just want to see all the advertisements on every page on my iPhone... Flash is a joke at best, every laptop mac or not that I have had it on the simplest flash would get the fans running for lift off...

My point is, the ping-pong effect, when it was used, was deliberate. It does sound strange now, but I remember when these albums came out people listened to them on headphones and thought the effect was cool.
I'm no Beatles historian by any means, but correct me if I'm wrong: weren't the first albums recorded in mono? The stereo versions were later, rather crude simulations of stereo, which is why they never made it to CD.

Stereo releases were made years later and the wide effect was partly due to the fact that these songs were mastered from 2 tracks and because the music was recorded to one track and the vocals to the other, well there was no really other way to get stereo...

The only times I've upgraded my Adobe software has been when I desperately needed to. I stole up to CS1, bought CS2, needed CS3 to escape Rosetta and was given a copy of Design Premium CS4 from my job. I am looking to upgrade to the Master Collection but I may just wait for CS6, the just spend my time with it for 4 years.
