Retail no no: Kim Kardashian confessed to wearing and returning dresses on Jay Leno's show last night in Los Angeles

Kim Kardashian prides herself on her style choices and fashion industry savvy.
But perhaps she should have asked her sisters' advice last night before choosing what to wear for her appearance on the Jay Leno show.

The 30-year-old wore a very tight figure-hugging dress that clung to her voluptuous figure in all the wrong places.

And the dull camel-colour only washed out her glowing olive skin instead of enhancing it.

Kardashian was in confessional mode last night, sharing that she isn't beyond saving a penny here and there.

Even if it does mean bending the rules somewhat.

She admitted to a big no no in the retail world - wearing dresses then returning them to the store for a refund.

But, being a business owner herself now, she is no longer in favour of that sort of behaviour.

'It's not right,' Kim said. 'Now that I own a store, I realize it's probably not the best thing to do.

'It's not morally right, so I don't recommend it, but I think all girls have done that.'

Too tight: The colour of Kim's dress washes her out and clings in all the wrong places

The reality star has long been outspoken about her love for clothes and make-up, and owns her own chain of stores with sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

Style seemed one of the hot topics of her appearance on the show, as Kim talked about the Dash stores in Miami and New York.

Kim and her sisters have also been busy after the launch of the New York arm of their clothing store last week, with the upcoming release of their first joint autobiography Kardashian Konfidential.

It could be worse! At least Kim's shoes match her dress

Kim candidly opens up in the new book about being single and what she wants in a man.
'Is it weird that I'm now the single one?' she questions of herself. 'It is definitely a change for me.'

'If you were to ask me in high school where I would be at 30, I would have said I'd be a housewife with four kids,' she admitted.

But after several failed relationships she is becoming more aware of what she wants and needs from a man.

'Whatever relationship I'll be in next I realise I can't be this work machine all the time. It's not realistic. I want a normal relationship.'
