Teenage angst: Miley Cyrus snarls at the camera as she performs her new single Can't Be Tamed on Dancing With The StarsMiley Cyrus shot to fame as the squeaky clean Hannah Montana in the Disney TV show when she was just 14.
But the 17-year-old showed she is determined to put her 'good girl' tween image behind her last night as she pulled out all the stops for a raunchy performance on Dancing With The Stars.
Wearing an all-black leather outfit and knee-length boots, Miley began singing her new single Can't Be Tamed from inside a cage, surrounded by several scantily clad dancers.
Provocative: The 17-year-old wore a black leotard and knee-high boots for the showWith her hair teased into a backcombed quiff at the front, Miley snarled at the cameras as she performed the song with both confidence and aggression.
After Miley finished her song, Dancing With The Stars host Tom Bergeron remarked: 'Billy Ray Cyrus, your little girl's growing up!'
Miley's performance comes after a video of her doing some 'dirty dancing' with 45-year-old film producer Adam Shankman surfaced on the internet last week.

Angry: Miley snarled at the cameras throughout the performanceHowever, both Miley's country singer father Billy Ray and her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth have come forward to defend the teenager.
While Billy Ray dismissed it as Miley 'having fun' and 'doing what people her age do', Liam said: 'Everyone gets criticism, it's kind of what comes with this job - everybody's trying to bring you down.
'Miley has got a good head on her shoulders.'
Meanwhile, American football star Chad Ochocinco and his dance partner Cheryl Burke were eliminated from the show in the Dancing With The Stars semi-finals.

Grateful: American football star Chad said he feels like he has 'already won'After finding out he was leaving the show, Chad said: 'I enjoyed the journey, I met some wonderful people, I got some great criticism that's only made me stronger," he said as he was kicked off.
'And I'll miss them all, especially the beautiful Cheryl Burke. And in my eyes really, I've already won.'
