Feeling manly: Dermot O'Leary dresses up as X Factor's Wagner in this week's Heat magazine

He's the long-haired Brazilian singer who is causing a stir on the X Factor.

And while X Factor fans have taken to the internet in their thousands complaining that Wagner Carrilho's continued inclusion in the TV talent show is unfair on other contestants, there are also those who are enjoying his outrageous routines.

One of those people is X Factor host Dermot O'Leary, who has donned a long blonde wig, moustache and tight white outfit to dress up as the 54-year-old for Heat magazine.

The man himself: Wagner performing alongside the X Factor dancers on the show

And, talking about his new look, Dermot admitted he has never felt as masculine as he felt as he posed with dancers on the X Factor stage.

He said: 'I look forward to dressing up for Heat each year. I don’t know if Wagner’s virility will rub off on me, but I didn’t foresee this in my wildest dreams.
'I’ve never felt like such a man.'

Dermot also revealed his true feelings about the rest of the contestants and, although he insisted he does not have favourites, he does think he has bonded more with some than others.

As they normally look: Dermot and Wagner show their true colours in casual style

He said: 'It would be ungentlemanly to reveal my favourites, but Matt’s a great guy. And I’ve got a huge soft spot for One Direction and Rebecca.

'Wagner’s never off his phone. Matt and Aiden are always together. One Direction are always ogling and chatting up the dancers. Cher, when she’s in a good mood, is a real laugh. Rebecca always looks like she’s about to cry, but I adore her.'

And, defending contestants amid reports of diva-like behaviour, Dermot added: 'As the show gets bigger, there’s more pressure on them, so that’s where the reports of diva-like behaviour come from. But I kind of like it when they act up.'

But it's not only the contestants who have been causing controversy, as the judges have also been hitting the headlines with their on-screen sniping at each other.
However, Dermot says that behind the scenes it's a different story.

Talking about the judges and what might surprise us about Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh, Dermot said: 'Louis and I are always last to go home, Cheryl has a great selection of Haribo in her dressing room, Dannii’s entourage is all male, and Simon’s room is like his house - monochrome, with Sinatra pictures.'

And Dermot also said he sometimes gets concerned he might be pushing things a little too far with Simon with his teasing.

He said: 'So far, he’s been pretty good about it. But a little part of me can’t help thinking, “Yikes, it’s Simon Cowell, my boss." '

The full interview with Dermot appears in this week's Heat magazine, out now.
