Earlier, the pair visited the local library where Suri was seen flicking through an issue of Vanity Fair magazine.
She later found some more age-appropriate reading - a copy of the children's book, Froggy Gets Dressed.
The family, including Cruise's wife Katie Holmes, 32, and daughter Isabella, 18, are in the city while he films the latest instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise

He dashed to LA over the weekend to check out a production of Rock of Ages at the Pantages Theatre.

Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand are also said to be in talks for big roles in the upcoming film.
