lol If you think about it, she mostly bashes AT&T;, just as Verizon did with their ads about the iPhone. Which makes sense because they both wanted the iPhone, so they wouldn't bash the phone directly. It looks like the tactic worked for Verizon, and it looks like it's headed that way for T-Mobile one way or another too lol :D
This bit of news is ironic because I just happened to cancel my T-Mobile contract to switch over to AT&T; for the iPhone (old phone's broken so I couldn't just wait lol). And I know of AT&T; buying T-Mobile, I've been hearing that it'll take till next year before they get it really moving

So for .17 GHz upgrade we are sacrificing around 30% graphic power?
The i5 can retire more instructions per clock cycle, and so could actually run real software faster at even a lower GHz clock speed than a C2D.

Thats what I hate about this update policy. Yesterdays investment is losing suddenly 30% of its value. Apple should really address this by lowering prices before such an update...

It definately did drop more than all the other stocks out there, i'm curious as well.

To be honest, I kind of have everything I want. (mainly my Mac and phone). I think for Christmas I would like a few hundred bucks (just incase I wanted to buy something) and certainly a new watch, which I might end up buying myself before then.
LOL same here; Finally got a mac after begging my parents for 3+ years.... ended up buying it myself :). And I have my Blackberry; so there's actually nothing I want this christmas. And if I did end up wanting anything I'd buy it myself sooo.... nope there's nothing :cool:

having just gone insane as a mac newbie - i went all out and brought myself lots n lots of apple products this winter
IMO i will also skip the 1st gen - i'm quite old fashioned with TVs and would like to stick with my Samsung LED 9000 series

You have to realize one thing. Without market share, company like Apple can not make profit.
Yeah... you have to sell products to make money... but nothing says you have to have the most market share in order to make money.
Let's say Android gets 35% of the market... and Apple only has 25% of the market...
Apple still can sell 20 million iPhones in a quarter and makes a crap-ton of money doing it. That's what I've been saying all along!
Read my other comments here and elsewhere... I HATE market share arguments. It infuriates me every time there is a headline saying "Android beats Apple" and "Android Grows while Apple Stalls"

My next phone will be an iPhone... I don't care if Android phones outsell the iPhone 2-to-1

Sure we are all making jokes about Sheen and his antics. Lets not forget 2 other notable comedians that were huge drug users that showed warning signs, Chris Farley and John Belushi. Sheen is in huge denial and will most likely kill himself at some point.
Sheen's not obese so he's not going to have complicating health issues like an overworked heart/liver/kidneys or cholesterol clogging up his arteries before the drugs even pass through. Sheen's an F18 with firebreathing fists. :)
Is Charlie Sheen a comedian? Is he talented? No. But he does appear to have an emotional health issue that could destroy him.
He was just in the Bahamas with two babe girlfriends and has a hundred million dollars - destroy me please! :D
He's living the dream. He's a rock star from Mars. Seriously. Personally, I'd rather be Keith Richards with just two remaining brain cells and lived his life than corporate middle management at the same age with all my brain cells intact.

Looks like a bar of soap. Which I guess is OK. It IS different, 'fresh', and will make a fashion statement for those who care about such things.
I guess that not many people on here remember the white iPods and white iBooks back in the day. Man, I miss that white finish. I might just buy the white iPhone at full price.

Don't discount microsoft - they have money to lose for years in trying to get #1 for MP3 - slowly they creep up and overturn Apple - apple doesn't ahve the same stamina.

I'm about to get my card out and spend spend spend!!! I was going to get the 17" due to the fw800, DL superdrive and screen space of course. Now I wonder, the 15" is attractive being that bit smaller. Anyone got any comments on either? Still like the screen on the 17" but I'm thinking 15" would be a bit more portable.
15" all the way - unless you really need those extra inches, the 15" is a real sweet spot IMO. the money you save, you can always use to bump up other specs.

I think if Apple gets the 6G iPod to the market before Argo, MS is dead in the water. People aren't going to buy an Argo after shelling out $300-400 for an iPod. Also once everyone sees their friends with the new iPod they wont want anything else. We all know Apple has done wonders making their player an icon.
I think DRM will kill the Argo as well.
