But I finally found my all-time favorite website for when you need a laugh (http://www.sump.no/) - I had lost the bookmark/link, but after some searching I found it... :o

Hey guys, I am having difficulty opening the Mail app and sending a message. I have it to the point where it opens the app, opens the new message dialog, puts in the Subject, and the Body, but when there is a space in the body, it doesnt do anything. Here is code:

iPad, iPod Touch & iPod Nano follow this curve. I feel like we can expect a revolutionary new device every 2 years, and a modest upgrade in between.

unsurprising really. Who can compete with apple? I'm not even sure there's space for microsoft even if they reposition themselves in the smartphone market

Also on G3's don't you have to install Mac OS X within the first partition (within the first 8gb)?
The first 8 GiB. The first 7.4 GB to make it safe... (8 GiB DOES NOT EQUAL 8 GB!!)

I worked for a couple of years in the cell phone industry for a company that acts as an intermediary between cell phone companies for various products. As part of my job, I had to deal with various escalations departments for all of the carriers and found that T-mobile actually had pretty good customer service. Maybe not the best but certainly not the worst.
Personally, I use T-mobile now and get a few more dropped calls than if I were using Verizon but they are also cheaper and have much nicer phones because they support GSM. I think that they are a solid choice if you live in top 100 markets but if not they just don't have the coverage. I really hope that they can expand their market to become competitive with Cingular and Verizon. Competition is always a good thing and I think that they would probably make a good partner for Apple.

They offer a choice. The .wav choice is priced higher than the .mp3, so I am guessing it is of higher quality. Is this true?

Female president of the united states? Yeah, right. We're destined to have white rich yuppies for presidents forever. Since the creation of the country until its demise, that's how it will be. Why? Because there's no way in hell the government would let a "minority" in the leading role. No way at all. Doesn't mean I don't want to see it, I'm just being real here.
Nice fantasy story though.
Didn't care to watch it. I think I was watching Arrested Development or somethign when it came on.

If someone had a great idea about how Finder should look and work, it might be improved. However, since the plumbing is behind the scenes and that's been re-done a lot, it wouldn't help to simply re-route it again.
Well, it's still the most annoying, continuous issue with OSX. Steve keeps saying it has finally been improved, but it still sucks. :p
Remember when they released the Finder with the side panel on the left side? Man, where were we without that? I can't even remember how bad Finder was in 10.2.x :o

The Boot Camp drivers provided by Apple aren't that great, especially for the trackpad and the brightness controls. When I'm dragging and dropping files in Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro, I tend to press down with one finger and drag with another finger.
I have my trackpad set up on Windows 7 and OS X to have it so that the bottom left corner is left click and the bottom right is right click. Tap to click is disabled.
So, basically, I cannot have "tap-to-click" and have "press down with one finger and drag with another finger" at the same time.
That sucks.

I have set up the MacBook of my girl friend to get remote access to my home network by a VPN connection. I did this mainly to make it possible for her to copy files from my MacPro. The VPN connection works very well but she cannot "see" my MacPro in the Finder. When she comes visiting me and logs into my network by WLAN she can see the MacPro and download files.
What is my mistake? I assumed that the MacPro treats an incoming VPN connection like another Mac which is on the network. Apparently this is wrong. What can I do to make it work as I want it to work?

Yesterday I ordered my first MAC: MBP.
So im asking myself, if there will be maybe a "cheap" update solution to Leopard.
Some1?
Since Leopard won't be out until spring you will have to pay the full price. Apple is pretty stingy about giving discounts to their OS upgrades. If you had purchased you MBP a week before Leopards release you might have receive it for free.

In Bahrain, Saudi Arabia etc... Dictators rule like kings, with much of their wealth coming from their population, leaving the people poor while the dictators live extravagantly.
In America, the corporations are in charge.

Bah, you have to register to view images? Sheesh. The site is never going to take off like that. I'd rather spend that time going to a decent Wallpaper site without the hassles of registration.
Yeah, yeah.. I'm lazy, I know.
Yeah it has been open for like what? A week and only has 450 members, not really a fast growing website. :p

A bunch of Microsoft's Zune "engineers" (which train do you drive?) live in my building. They're complete jerks, and aggressively vulgar toward anyone they see with an iPod.
I hope they enjoy listening to their precious Zunes while standing in line at the unemployment office.
DIAF, boys and girls.

How's windows home server. I'm running a single windows 7 box, though my wife uses an XP machine that needs backup capability as well. Would you think "upgrading" my win7 pro to WHS be worthwhile?
Probably not with that setup.
I went from my Time Capsule to the HP Mediasmart EX490 to host my Time Machine backups and serve as a general purpose NAS for my home network. Three Macs each running both OS X and Windows, one PC (hackintoshable) plus the iDevices.
The hardware is decent. The software, not so much, WHS1 is based on XP/Server 2003 and has many limitations arising from that. It had several nice features like Drive Extender that made it friendlier to use than the typical RAID setup, but these have been removed for the new version that is about to be released. Plus, HP abandoned the market.
I'm planning on giving it one more chance. I'll rebuild it from scratch with a new boot drive and software install and if the stability and performance doesn't improve, I'm going to slap Ubuntu on the hardware.
Honestly right now I'd go for something like the high performance WD My Book Live http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=280, stick it on your network and back everything up to that. (Assuming 2 TB is enough space for you).
