Punk princess: Cher Lloyd took to the stage in a black and pink ensemble consisting of Adidas trainers and a tutu while in Dublin

As The X Factor live tour hit Dublin during the finalists’ fourth day of performing, Cher Lloyd stole the limelight again in a vibrant ensemble.

Her punk-inspired costume combined Adidas trainers with tights, a studded jacket and a puffy tutu with hot pink sashes.

The 17-year-old singer had already dyed her brunette hair bright red to stay in the spotlight and she seems determined to be at the forefront of on-stage fashion.

Dancers: Cher Lloyd had a flurry of back-up dancers during her performance, who also wore bright harlequin fabrics

Cher was joined on stage by a flurry of backup dancers who resembled the Worcestershire teenager in their own renditions of tutus and harlequin-inspired costumes.

The X Factor stars were performing at The O2 in Dublin, where native Mary Byrne sang alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Katie Waissel, One Direction, Matt Cardle, Aiden Grimshaw, Paije Richardson and Wagner.

Mary, 51, who came fifth in the ITV competition, also followed Cher’s fashion footsteps in a bright red top and while in Dublin said the teenager has changed for the better.

The former Tesco employee told Ireland’s RTE Ten: ‘Cher has become a completely different girl, she’s looking after herself now, she’s calmed down an awful lot.

Speaking out: Mary Byrne said: 'Cher has become a completely different girl, she's looking after herself now, she's calmed down an awful lot'

One Direction: Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Nial Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik charmed Dublin at The O2

‘She still has her moments but she’s a young kid, she wants to reach for the stars, she wants it all.’

Mary also said that she loves Katie and Rebecca and credited her mentor Louis Walsh for changing her life.

But said: ‘I don’t think the girls heard from Cheryl [Cole], Matt has heard from Dannii, I’m sure the boys have been in touch with Simon, but I know that Cheryl hasn’t been in touch with any of them.’

Cheryl Cole’s former protégé Katie Waissel dazzled on stage in a pretty blue floral dress, while Rebecca Ferguson kept her classic look in a little black dress, gold heels and red lipstick.

The boys of One Direction, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, have been causing teen hysteria ever since kicking off the tour in Birmingham on Saturday.

Winner: X Factor winner Matt Cardle took to the stage at The O2 in Dublin to join his fellow talent show finalists

And last night was no different as they charmed the audience with their cheeky smiles and choreographed dance moves.

The X Factor 37-date tour has seen the finalists perform covers of hits such as Rihanna’s Only Girl In the World, Bob Dylan’s Forever Young, Katy Perry’s Firework and of course Wagner’s mash up of She Bangs/Love Shack.

The singers will continue to perform at The O2 in Dublin until Friday, before heading to Belfast for their concerts at Odyssey Arena.

Meanwhile, as show executives get ready for the next series of X Factor, its bosses are said to be in talks with Facebook to organise a voting system through the social networking site.

A source told The Sun: 'In the UK, you will buy Facebook credit like you can now for games on the website, and use that to vote. Phone voting would still be available too.'

Show bosses are apparently in talks to bring in the system for both the UK and US version of the show to make voting easier for fans.

Next series: The ITV talent show bosses are said to be in talks with Facebook to discuss whether fans could vote for contestants such as Wagner (left) and Aiden Grimshaw (right) on the social networking site for the upcoming series
