Its unsure if the deal will go through and what type of stipulations will happen. As a proud T-mo customer. I do not want this deal from hell. I love my low prices I don't need an iPhone I am happy with my current phone.
There are many things that stand in the way of this deal. It may make the market a lot less competitive. It would also almost remove sprint and make it a two horse race with AT&T; and Verizon having over 60% of the American Market.
It is also quite possible that if AT&T; does purchase T-Mobile, T-mobile will exist solely as a subsidiary of AT&T; similar to Sprint and Virgin Mobile. Its clear that AT&T; is purchasing towers not customer base.
Many of the Android users are going to migrate over to Sprint and Verizon due to the of the inability to side load on AT&Ts; network and the restriction of upload download speeds.
Agreed, I'd rather keep AT&T; separate and just jailbreak/unlock iPhone to use on T-mobile.
That way -low prices with T-Mobile plus the functionality of iPhone

My brother has a android phone (:mad:) and if he buys an app from the android market and doesn't like it he can get a refund and it is deleted. I think it is in a 15 minute time gap.
However this would be a nice feature to the apple app store.

I've been checking the UK store (Higher Ed + Normal) since the announcement, the Wireless Mighty Mouse is still not up there. Are you sure you're not confusing the Mighty Mouse with the wired one? ( The Wired Mighty Mouse is is �31.73 H.E, �35.00 Retail)
Plus, I think we've already had a link to MacWorld showing the price at �49.99

Mac OS and iOS is different things, it seems Apple is loosing that idea, where's the unification OS? Can you imagine how ugly and mess it's going to work with apps each one with different looks and feels, at least we wll get fullscreen single apps, or maybe not, well, more and more Ubuntu seems a better OS

It's possible that the device has not yet been approved in other countries, and Apple rushed the release because it leaked yesterday.
More likely Apple leaked it on purpose to build excitement for the release. Anyway, my Mighty Hamster is on the way.

Blurgh! I really dislike all the 'faux UI' popping up everywhere...not a fan of it on my iOS products and certainly not Mac OS... it looks tacky...lets hope we get a choice... That fake leather looks so shite, id rather have a simple clean UI thank you...what happened to apple's good taste?

Top end 27" iMac = US$1999, or in the Australian Store, AUD$2299 which at the current exchange rate is about US$2500. Why should we pay more, Apple? If anything, we're closer to China so should pay less on shipping!
Whilst it's slightly better than yesterdays prices, I'm still seriously not happy.

A bit disappointing in my opinion. If this happened a few weeks ago, it'd be nice but such a long delay - for what? I would also like to see those MBPs benchmarked.
Much as I like how the MBP looks, and know that it's a good performer, the lack of a good (gaming) graphics card won't tempt me towards saving money for one of these. x1600's all right, but not really enough, especially for the next couple of years.

Wow, amazing how emotional people always get whenever I make a statement that could sound slightly anti-iPod... I know you love your iPod and all (I am very fond of mine myself), but over the last few years Apple has been focusing a dispropotional amount of energy into their cute little gadget which has massively boosted their profits. For those of us that don't salivate over all things iPod, I think this is too bad.

And, you don't get an 3GS for $50 for an $10/month additional line. You need to pay for a real plan for that. And the least expensive would still net you more per month than you paid up front for the 3GS.

It's awesome Apple is making a base iMac so powerful, a i5 Quad for 1199$ shows that apple is going to be having faster i7's in the future for the high end.
