Don't you just love AT&T;? :D
(BTW, there's a few good reasons I use Verizon.)
One of those reasons is that there is no AT&T; signal at my house.

The biggest question I have is whether the dual Thunderbolt will support 2 external monitors.
Imagine a triple 27 inch setup! (Brain explodes at thought)
Displayport is suppose to support daisy-chaining from one port so the external monitor support could actually be higher than just 2 if Apple supported it. I believe the HD6970M can support at least 4 total display outputs, possibly 6?

Don't believe everything you read on the web, this is 100% not true. If Apple was in the business of limiting devices sales to the US market, Verizon would have been a great option. Fortunately, or unfortunately, (depending on how you look at it) GSM is essentially the global standard for 2G, so AT&T; or T-mobile would have been the only possible carriers for the iPhonePerhaps you meant not 100% true. I have heard, from multiple sources, that Verizon wanted more influence on the design of the phone, layout of the OS, and structure of apps and distribution, as well as a larger share of profit. If you have information which suggests otherwise, please do tell. As stated before, a GSM carrier makes more sense for a global phone. Now, with its proven success, perhaps Verizon would be more willing to make some concessions for marketing the iPhone in the USA, as this would greatly relieve the bandwidth burden AT&T; is currently experiencing.

Ditto. And if they are different, it's definitely NOT 2mm (1mm per side) like the post says. If anything, it's a quarter of a mm each side MAX.
Yes we all forgot about your super human ability to determine things based on a small grainy picture...

If they're going to make it a substantial upgrade to the display, then I can't see them calling this iPhone 5...
The increase in number for each model has worked okay until now, but I don't know.. it's getting to the point where it's sounding stupid. I can see "iPhone 4GS" working, but iPhone 5 or iPhone 6? Meh...
And the design of the enlarged display in that mock-up looks ugly, in my opinion.

To everyone else here.. it's a mock-up, which means it's not real. I think we all know Apple wouldn't release one that looks like the mock-up.The iPad 2 says you're wrong.

How does one buy stock anyway? (from the UK)
I have absolutely no idea on the subject, is it just a matter of buying a share at a couple of hundred dollars, watching Apple go through one of its "win" moments then selling it for a little profit ($50 or whatever) just as a starter? What about tax?

Might get this, might not. Don't do contracts so it would be a simple case of buying and selling. Something most people I know do. You lot (Americans) should start doing the same and stop being beholden to 24 month contracts.

$9,500,000,000 - that's just sitting around in cash with no long term debt. I think Apple's got plenty of "stamina"...
Apple are not going to blow all that on the iPod, they would abandon the market long before that.
Shareholders would revolt, Jobs would be kicked out ( again ).
However, this threat ( a very real threat ) from microsoft may see Apple pick the pace up on iPod evolution, which has been fairly slow.
However, Microsoft haven't been that successful in the hardware market, a lot more products ( i.e., routers ) have failed than succeeded, so their track record isn't so good. XBox still isn't making a profit - again thats another example of a long term strategy that microsoft will hope will pay off in the future. Short term pain for long term gain!

No, that's the opposite of what I was after, that's the bug it has now. Sigh, this is exactly what I predicted, they added a bunch of new features but haven't fixed any of the major usability bugs and flaws it already has. Why does apple show iCal such contempt?
what are you after then?

Make it easy to clean, or I'm sticking with my Kensington Trackball. 10 years, the same design. And I can replace the white trackball with my favorite snooker ball.
Bah, I upgraded to the USB model after both generations of ADB models finally bit the dust.
I'd love to get the thing wireless so I can leave it on my desk and show up with my iBook and use it. Same for a full-sized keyboard.
Has anybody seen a Bluetooth to USB adapter that can present a USB keyboard and mouse to a Bluetooth computer? You'd think such a thing should exist, but I've searched high and low. Complicating things is that there are thousands of USB to Bluetooth adapters that give a host computer Bluetooth functionality which clutter the google results.
No need for battery powered either, I want a USB keyboard and mouse into one end, power into the other, and Bluetooth out an antenna. I have to believe somebody in Taiwan is churning these out.

About $50 US per Gig for additional RAM from Apple... Just a minor beating this time, instead of an all out rape like they usually do compared to third party.
Wish I had the money to get one right away.

THIS IS DISGRACEFUL !!!!!!!!!
With AT&T; being the cell phone carrier that charges the most, they should be EXPECTED to provide the best quality service in the industry. If AT&T; thinks 30% of all calls being dropped is "normal," this is absolutely unacceptable! So this means that of every ten phone calls to 911, 3 being dropped is "normal" and acceptable????? And major corporations with thousands of employees are supposed to sign up for cell service with AT&T;, knowing that 30% of all calls (with customers) being dropped is, in AT&T;'s eyes, acceptable????????

Why is anyone surprised about this? It goes without saying that MS will try to squeeze every dime they can out of Vista, and that includes making non-PC users pony up for the most expensive version. It's the way it's always been with MS... nickel and dime all the way. Just yet another checkmark in the "why I can't get away from MS fast enough" column.

Sheen filed a lawsuit Thursday against Warner Bros. and "Two and a Half Men" producer Chuck Lorre for $100 million, plus punitive damages, TMZ reports.
Sheen, 45, is demanding he get paid for the eight "Two and a Half Men" episodes that were canceled this year, and he's also suing to gain lost wages and benefits for the show's crew.
Sheen's lawyer Marty Singer drafted the suit, and, according to TMZ, writes in the preamble: "Chuck Lorre, one of the richest men in television who is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew of the popular television series, 'Two and a Half Men,' in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the Series the scapegoat for Lorre's own conduct."
The suit blames the show's cancellation on "Warner Bros. capitulating to Lorre's egotistical desire to punish Mr. Sheen."
Poor Charlie, I never knew that he was completely innocent of all this and just a poor victim. While I feel bad for everyone else on the show loosing out financially, I hope Time Warner fights this and that Charlie doesn't get a penny out of it. Honestly, I just wish the earth would swallow this idiot up.
