But his ex-wife Denise Richards made an effort today to shield her daughters from the feeding frenzy surrounding their father by taking them on a shopping trip.

Last week, reports emerged that Denise was so 'disgusted' by Sheen's behaviour that she decided her two children shouldn't go anywhere near the actor.

According to gossip website TMZ.com, Richards claims that at least one of the 'goddesses' is using drugs, a claim vehemently denied by Sheen.
Richards is no stranger to Sheen's controversial lifestyle, and was on holiday with the actor in New York last October when he was found naked and drunk in The Plaza Hotel with porn star Capri Anderson.
Sheen is alleged to have wrecked the hotel suite during a drug and alcohol fueled run-in with Anderson.
Denise was apparently in a hotel room across the corridor with their daughters when the incident happened.
For years, Sheen has had a penchant for prostitutes and porn stars.
In January, he was said to be partying with three XXX actresses for 36 hours straight, when he fell ill and was rushed to the hospital.
22-year-old Kacey Jordan, one of the young women at the wild bash said in a series of interviews that Sheen appeared to be on 'a mission to kill himself.'

Mueller took her two children on a shopping trip this weekend to The Grove shopping centre in Los Angeles when is a paparazzi magnet.
