My concern is if you have big fingers, or a poor grip strength, holding the thing will inadvertently set off the buttons if they are on the bezel

I have taken the plunge and ordered my new BTO iMac.

2 TB Serial ATA Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2 GB GDDR5
Wired numeric keyboard

Due in a couple of weeks as it's a BTO. I can't wait for the beast to arrive.

Hello there!
I set up a mac mini server for my little company a few months ago and I find it to be overkill for the simple tasks I use it for. Originally I planned to setup a web hosting service, an email server and a wiki but our needs didn't grow as I expected and we found simpler alternatives.
Anyway, I am now thinking about selling it but I was wondering if it was simple to transfer the Mac OS X Server license. I can't seem to find info online on how to do this and I don't want to sell a product which won't easily be usable.
Any tips on doing this?
Thanks!

I was aboard a transcontinental flight to Los Angeles on the morning of Sept. 11, going to a trade show. The captain gave no indication of what was going on in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., saying only that there was a problem with the air traffic control system. As a result, the system was going to be shut down within the hour and our flight needed to return home. We were about 30 minutes out at that point.

Since you are also advertising video... I hope that isnt too close to Artisan, the film company :p
Artisan Entertainment (http://www.artisanent.com)
There was that concern in the beginning, but since most of the video work that we so is small budget (mostly wedding videos) we don't worry about that too much. :D But since we have grown a bit, we have modified our name, hence the abbreviation asi (http://www.artisanstudiosinc.com) now. :)

You do realize that Microsoft bought Connectix (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connectix) out entirely. They're part of the Borg now. It's all Microsoft's decisions now...
B
Actually, according to that article it looks like MS bought their last viable product and they then de-established the company. A technicality, but different than being bought by MS.
Virtual PC and Virtual server emulation software of x86-based personal computers for the Macintosh and Windows (sold to Microsoft).
With the sale of Virtual PC development and support, staff were transferred to Microsoft, including Chief Technical Officer Eric Traut, but not including any of the Connectix board members or Technical Support. Its Macintosh products, including DoubleTalk, CopyAgent and RAM Doubler, were discontinued.

As for the claim that Dell is all about volume, I disagree to some extent, admittedly they make their money by sell cheap devices. But things like the Streak 5 and Streak 7 aren't cheap devices nor are their smartphones.
Yeah but Dell isn't selling 10 million Streak devices per quarter.

I just got a revelation, iPhone mini in WWDC, iPhone 5 in september or january.
The iPhone mini will deprecate the 3Gs still on sale, and will stop the stocks from going down because the missed release cycle.

What you fail to realise is that Apple are giving their customers what they want. Apple customers do like to be restricted, that's why they are Apple customers and that's why they buy Apple products.
Right, that's why Android has taken over the #1 spot in the mobile space, and why there are threads with thousands of people asking daily for jailbreak updates? lol

Stopped by the apple store before they closed tonight and talked to a couple guys there. They werent very positive about inventory tomorrow. Just an FYI.
They always say that. Doesn't mean you shouldn't go line up tomorrow.

Technically AM3 CPUs will work in AM2+ boards. Problem is that DDR2 is a dead end at this point. DDR3 is so cheap nowadays I see no reason in not buying it and enabling yourself to use newer CPUs and chipsets.
As far retail stores - vast majority of people working at those stores don't have a clue. Also, not to sound sexist but why would you ask women to begin with? Yes, I've seen women that know about this stuff but they are rare and far between. Of course not to say that I can't imagine hearing such nonsense from a male employee.

Not sure why people think this is bad. Fair use if you ask me.
OTOH it's possibly open to abuse but i think it's worth the risk. I'm not overly keen on DRM stopping people doing what they like with stuff they've paid for. I wouldn't touch a DRM CD for example. All my downloads are from places that don't do DRM (and have at least 320kbps mp3 or better).
Could you drop a URL ?

I got my 11.6" Air with 1.4 GHz running Lion. Thinking of putting it on my 27" iMac.
Have you found any issues with memory? I'm trying to decide whether I should drop $100 on doubling the memory when I buy my MBA.

Witopia is great, servers in many countries, OpenVPN or PPTP (OpenVPN much better, although PPTP works easier on iPhone), good pricing, and awesome support....

The real deal on resolution independance, is that instead of the UI being made up of images, PDFs I believe, it will be drawn using vectors. so a OS can scale anything to any size, and it will never become pixalized, because it's being drawn fresh using math instead of images.
No, you can still use bitmaps. They just get scaled to whatever size. (Of course, they need to be reasonably high-res.) It's impossible to do anything other than really basic textures with just vectors.
Anyone who for some reason doesn't understand resolution independence just needs to know one thing: there isn't a downside. Don't worry about it. A lot of computer games are resolution independent these days (including the UI) and nobody freaks out about that, eh?
