How NOT to get helmet hair: Amanda Holden looked as sleek as ever after a motorbike ride

As one of the country's most glamorous television presenters, Amanda Holden is no stranger to looking sleek and styled at all times.

And, where others may have faltered, Amanda continued to uphold her chic reputation as she managed to maintain her hairstyle even after travelling on a motorbike.

The 39-year-old looked as trendy as ever, with no sign of helmet hair, as she exited the bike to start some filming down at Westminster Abbey, London.

Holden was broadcasting live from Westminster, questioning the public on the engagement between Prince William and Kate Middleton for US TV network CBS.

She had been down there as it was expected Buckingham Palace would announce a date for the royal wedding.

And while there was no such exciting news, Holden still found the entire experience exhilarating.

She wrote on her Twitter page: 'I feel like Trevor Macdonald!! The bongs just went on Big Ben!! All the news crews down here!! V. Exciting whatever happens or doesn't!!'

Holden looked stunning in an on-trend camel belted coat over a black dress and black boots as she left Westminster Abbey and headed over to the Radio 2 studios where she did her bit for Children In Need.

And the Britain's Got Talent judge even found time to pose for a photograph with one of the most iconic Children In Need characters, Pudsey the Bear, outside the studios.

Holden is bracing herself for a busy 2011 - balancing herself with rehearsals for Shrek: The Musical and Britain's Got Talent.

The ITV talent show will run auditions over the summer after moving its broadcast date to later in the year, while Shrek opens in London in May.

Holden takes over Cameron Diaz's role as Princess Fiona, alongside Nigel Lindsay as Shrek and Richard Blackwood as Donkey.

And she is excited about her role in the musical, writing in her magazine column: 'I can't wait to start rehearsals and get cracking.'

So far, Holden is the only judge confirmed to be returning to Britain's Got Talent.
Piers Morgan has stepped down for his new role on CNN, while Simon Cowell is yet to clarify his involvement.

Among the celebrities rumoured to be replacing Piers is comedian David Walliams, who was reportedly offered a £500,000 contract last week.
