Their parents may be one of the most famous couples in the world.

But when it comes to spending quality time together, it seems the Brangelina clan are just like any ordinary family.

Brad Pitt took some time off shooting his new movie yesterday as he joined partner Angelina Jolie to take their six children out for some treats.

The clan of eight were pictured strolling down the street together, with Brad clutching a plastic bag of goodies in hand.

His son Pax, aged seven, was brandishing a bags of crisps in hand while two-year-old Vivienne, the twin sister of Knox, was clutching a juice drink.

Angelina was dressed casually in a beige top and black trousers and wore a pair of gold rimmed sunglasses which matched Brad's.

Pitt has been throwing himself into work on the set of his new film Cogan's Trade in New Orleans for the past two weeks.

Earlier yesterday 35-year-old Jolie jetted in with their six children in tow, also including Maddox, nine, and daughters Zahara, six, and four-year-old Shiloh.

Carrying daughter Vivienne, and trailing the rest of their brood, Jolie smiled and joked with staff as the family climbed into a large people carrier.

It is rare for the entire family to be pictured together but the well-travelled family are sure to have established a routine onboard their frequent flights.

The 47-year-old Hollywood star's Make It Right charity has built houses and restored neighbourhoods which led to calls for him to run for mayor - which the father-of-six dismissed.

Based on a 1974 best-selling crime novel, Cogan is an enforcer who gets called in by the Mob when rules get broken. He is hired to ply his trade which is murder in the gritty and suspenseful thriller which co-stars Casey Affleck, Javier Bardem and Mark Ruffalo.

The movie due to be released next year will be filled with 'ill-conceived capers, double-dealing shenanigans and high voltage violence'.
